  7. The purpose of this thread is to get members talking about hosting gaming events. There are no time restrictions, and nothing is official until you make it. Essentially - unlike creating an official topic, this is a place to talk and gather interest for making events for particular games. Once you've decided on an event, if there is time before it begins, it should be made as an official topic and linked to in here so people can see where it is located if possible. In this thread, everyone has equal say on where events are and when hosted; just like a Round Table.
  8. Welcome back @Nigel! Glad you had a great time! And @EaglePrince, I hope you have a good time in Prague too.
  9. The chances are, that you'll have to play more than once to win this map, so I wouldn't leave it too late!
  10. Your challenge is: Complete the map Baskanar by @Lord Vetka in the shortest possible time Useful resources http://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/file/366-baskanar/ Please save as close to the end as possible, and upload your saved game in your .zip file here Note: Your entry must be attached to this topic by Midnight on Saturday to be counted in this challenge (21/5/16 23:59). If no entry is attached (via .zip) then your entry will not be counted! The results will be revealed on Sunday. Good luck everyone!
  11. This was a fantastic map! It was very challenging and I liked the two sub-castles that you had to complete before you could proceed onto the actual siege. The map itself was very well detailed, and I was extremely impressed. Being a master of "brute-force" in SHL, I found this particularly challenging! Although, when you get catapults at the end, it became really easy - I just destroyed most of the front wall and the gate, along with the engine tower inside and a few ice Mirrors - and then just rushed the keep with all the extra troops I was given. The terrain I was extremely impressed with, I don't think it possibly could have been more detailed! There is a large amount of troops, all different, and this was part of why it was so good. It's more than just a map for a contest - I'd go so far as to say it's as good as the mission maps by Firefly. If you could upload this to our download section, that would be amazing, I'm sure other people will love this as much as I do. This is a fantastic map, and it's my pleasure to award you with three points! Congratulations, and thank you very much for your entry!
  12. You can change anything on the map, providing it is done in-game (i.e. in the editor).
  13. Your challenge is: Create a siege in Stronghold Legends. The player should be responsible for sieging the castle, and must traverse through part of the map to arrive. Useful resources http://www.stronghold-nation.com/article/1-map-editor-overview http://www.stronghold-nation.com/article/241-stronghold-legends-editor-overview Note: Your entry must be attached to this topic by Midnight on Saturday to be counted in this challenge (14/5/16 23:59). 14. When I've altered the amplitude before if I make something too loud or quiet then it does sound distorted, perhaps that's what has happened here. It only sounds fine still inside a "spectrum" of sorts, if you know what I mean.
  15. Yes, of course. If things aren't changed in similar proportions, then of course they wit would become distorted. But without knowing what you've changed (and to which settings), what the song sounds like and originally sounded like, we won't be able to help much.
  16. That would cause problems with map compatibility and mean that (v.1.5?) maps would not be playable of prior versions - so I'd suggest it be done this way for full compatibility.
  17. That is a very good option, choosing the strength of each AI opponent. I've added that to the list. @mati555 - for the "escort" option, does this work on anything in Stronghold Legends? Despite playing this game a lot, I must confess I've never seen that option before.
  18. Could you ask him to email me and let me know why he can't register? Alternatively, if he submits a ticket we could see to his problems there. The AI editor is independent from Firefly and they don't have the source code for it. I'm not sure what you mean by "Escort from Stronghold Legends", but I've added the automatic firing of Ballistae to the list. Also just seen your other post about Multiplayer - added that suggestion to the list too.
  19. Your challenge is: Re-create history by re-living the siege of Harlech Castle in the Stronghold 1 editor. Make a fully scripted map to create the 1404 national uprising! Useful resources Building Difficulty: 4 (Out of possible 10) Landscape Difficulty: 7 http://www.stronghold-nation.com/article/235-stronghold-1-editor-overview Note: Your entry must be attached to this topic by Midnight on Saturday to be counted in this challenge (7/5/16 23:59). 20. Personally I wouldn't think it should be too hard. I've added a few of those suggestions to the list. :)
  21. What was the malware called, can you remember?
  22. There aren't an awful lot of SH3 challenges, so I'd recommend giving this a go if you can. :)
  23. To get rid of Malware, I recommend using the industry best: https://www.malwarebytes.org/ Let me know if there are any problems. :)
  24. Your challenge is: Re-create @Crusader1307's The Battle of Bannockburn in the Stronghold 3 editor. The closest to the original design will win! Useful resources http://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/file/288-battle-of-bannockburn/ http://www.stronghold-nation.com/article/225-stronghold-3-editor-overview Note: Your entry must be attached to this topic by Midnight on Saturday to be counted in this challenge (30/4/16 23:59).
