This is a map of the battlefield of Blore Heath in 1459. Blore Heath was one of the first battles of The War of The Roses. Yorkist forces defeated the Lancasters. The Yorkist forces held the heath rows to the northeast of the map. The Lancaster forces held the heathland.
The map is an unscripted invasion map. The invasion point has been place roughly in the middle of the heathland (the direction of travel for the Lancasters).
A clue to the Yorkist victory was their use of archers. Lots of them.
The Keep has been hidden in the landscape so you can concentrate on the tactics and placement of troops.
If your a good scripter, this map may be fun for you.
