Stronghold 2 Patch Information

The latest Stronghold 2 patch is v1.5 Steam, released in 2017. This can only be used with the Steam client and cannot be upgraded to from earlier disk versions of Stronghold 2. For an in-depth overview of what changes have been made in this version, please see this article.

The latest Stronghold 2 disk version is patch v1.4.1, which was released in 2007. On opening the game, you should be prompted to download this provided you are connected to the internet and your firewall is not blocking the connection to the internet.

You can download this patch from our download section. You can also get patch 1.4 from our download section, however, ugrading from patches below the 1.3.1 version is not recommended due to potential incompatibility. You must install the 1.4 patch prior to installing the 1.4.1 patch.
