Creating Wooden Platforms

You can create some very effective wooden platforms in Stronghold 1 by using this very simple trick. These can depict dams, wooden bridges or other marvelous structures.

Firstly, place at least one section of wooden wall.



Next, you need to place some wooden stairs nearby to join onto it.



Then you need to remove the steps from the structure. The easiest way of doing this is by placing large stone towers on each side of the steps, which will leave just the wooden platform.



After this has been done, remove the towers and there should be nothing where the steps were before.



Finally, you can remove the wooden wall and place new terrain on the ground.



With attention to detail, you can produce some really stunning results. Here is a picture taken from Glazebury Muse, an outstandingly good example:
