Sim Campaign: Mission 2 - To be a Knight

Mission Objectives:

• Win: Acquire 50 Honour
• Win: Acquire 10 Pigs & Acquire 10 Vegetables
• Lose: Your Lord Dies

This mission is a one which teaches you the basics about food production. And to start with there's no better thing to do than to place your Lord's Kitchen. This is the building where all food for feasts will be stored, so it needs to be close enough to your Keep that distance is not a problem when bringing the food to your Lord, but at the same time you need to be able to place numerous production buildings around it. This is the case in all games, not just this one. I personally recommend you place the Kitchen on the side of your Keep (in this instance) facing the main gatehouse of your Castle.

Assuming you mass-produced your saw pits last mission, you should now be in a position to start placing buildings straight away. Start by immediately placing five Pig Farms, two Vegetable Gardens and five or six hunter posts. The Hunter Posts do not provide meat for the feast, but do provide meat to the Granary instead. By feeding your peasants multiple food types, you will gain Honour, so set your rations to double. Doing so will make sure that any increases in Honour are far more numerous. Now place another two Hovels.



Now sit and wait for a while, until you start getting some of the required resources. If you wish, using the available keyboard shortcuts you can temporarily speed up or slow down the game to decrease the duration you are waiting. You may also wish to place more buildings so that you get more resources quicker, although this is not strictly necessary as once the resources start to come in they should all fill up your Kitchen very quickly. Feasting also brings you Honour, and by feasting with multiple types of food it also brings you a bonus to this Honour.

Wait for a little while longer, and a message from The King will eventually appear, Knighting you.
